Baan Nongtoa Village

         Baan NongToa is a Mien village at Vianggan District, Chinagrai Province. Baan nongtoa estrablish in this area when has a communist regime leave from this place. Baan nongtoa is the rural area, this village is it not civilization, and far from the district place around 30 Kilometers. This village have 3 Mien lineage: Saefung (Lopung), Saetuen (Lotung) and Saejaw( Lojew).. Baan Nongtoa village is a small village and have 2 hilltribe people live here:Mien and Hmong
             Have a history about this village is in the past, the village have a reservoir behind the village and have many turtles live in their, the people in the village give the name of the village is Nongtoa (information from the older in the village) from this story. In the past this village name Nongtao and departing from the truth be Nongtoa now. In this village the villager still practice and take respects in the old culture but in some family they are Christian, they go to the church. Mostly the people in the village take respect in the old tradition and culture, they have a house of the spiritual that protect the villager behind the village.   
            They are an agriculture, plant corns, rice and go to find the things from the forest to sale. “The economic have an effect to the living” in the village have more the occupation. The garden becomes a successful in this village. They plant oranges and the famous of Vianggan district is a pomelo and onion. The villager can get more money than plant rice.
            The house in this village is the old style also, the roof uses some kind of grasses and now mostly adaptation because of the Mien people can adapt them self to modern style.
