Mien Games

       Mien is a group of hilltribe people who have been living in Thailand for a few generations and the Mien people have their own traditions, cultures and the ceremonies. The Mien people stay in peace and harmony.
      Mien people come together and have the old traditions to practice also. They combine with the other Mien groups who live in Thailand to come to practice together and they organize a Mien sports day. The Mien sports day is important because this is a day where all the Mien people come together and interact with each other. Every year, the Mien people will take turn to play a sport in the province that the Mien people live in. They have international and the traditional games. The people will come together to share about the experiences that they had. The main topic of conversation among the Mien people every year is their culture. They often talk about the practicing of their traditions and cultures and to remind the younger generations about retaining their old traditions.
The importance of the Mien sports day is that the Mien people can come together to interact, exchange their experiences and get to know each other better. They will arrange the sport day to be around the beginning of the year.

The Mien games not only help to promote harmony among the people, but also help to create and pass down the Mien culture and traditions.
